Yankees Banner No. 1

Since some of my readers are new, and don't know me that well...I am a New York Yankees fan.  Always have been, always will be.  And so I decided, for one class project, to make a series of banners for the greatest  baseball team EVER!!, and here's the first one.....

Matty's new logo...for now.

Had a lot of fun with this project.  Posted the roughs the other day, and this is the final design. The one with the "diamond" shape behind it got turned in, but after comments from the class, decided to drop the diamond, and move the type closer..so here it is...for now.

So I hope I'm doing this right, cause this is really "homework" for me.  I'm supposed to go and "surf" the web..(You know, the activity I just find soooo much fun....) and find websites we find "cool".  So I'm just going to, on occasion, post sites here at Matty's Design blog, that I get inspiration from.  Some are friend's sites....some are just people I admire, some will be sites that are really well done.  So here's the first of those posts, and I'll start with a guy I really admire, and I've always loved looking at his site.. I actually met Adam a few years ago when I lived in Orlando..

Entering a whole new wide world

So yes, it's a new semester here at COD for Matty, and again, I am doing another blog for class.  This time around, it is for Web Design 1....that's right I said Web design.  Two years ago...I didn't even know what a flash drive was, and here I am about to learn to design web pages.

I do have to admit, I have always wanted to learn how to make them, and I don't know what took me soooooooooo long to finally take the proverbial boot straps (fear mostly...least that's my first guess) but I did, and as I have with all the other classes I have taken over the last year and a half, it's just time to learn some new stuff.

Of course, this being something I'm doing...I had to make it even MORE challenging than it already had to be, and due to some indecision over schedules and classes, I missed the first class last week.  But, that's all straightened out now, and we're all set and ready to go.

So grab something to drink, sit back, relax, and stick around to see what happens next, it could get really, really interesting.
